This privacy policy covers the main Software 4 Schools website. Our software applications, which store and use student data have a much stricter privacy policy are at the bottom of this page. 
What information do we collect on our main website?
We collect information from you when you register on our site at Software 4 Schools, place an order or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. We do NOT retain your credit card information. You may, furthermore, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
  • To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
  • To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
  • To send periodic emails

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All information on this site is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Credit Card information is also transmitted via SSL to our Payment gateway provider’s database. This is only accessible to those authorized with special rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential.

After any financial transaction, your credit card data will not be stored on our servers.

Google SSO

Our use of Google SSO (Single Sign-On) is solely for the purpose of facilitating seamless access to our platform. When you choose to sign in using Google SSO, we securely authenticate your identity through Google’s services, eliminating the need for a separate login process. We do not access or store any additional personal information from your Google account and just use email matching for Single Sign-On authentication. 

Google Adwords Policy

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. This privacy policy covers software applications manufactured by Software 4 Schools and includes Voting 4 Schools, Ticketing 4 Schools, Store 4 Schools, Interventions 4 Schools, Announcements 4 Schools and Digital Student ID 4 Schools. Software 4 Schools (S4S) and the services it provides to Educational Organizations comply with applicable provisions of law, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and equivalent state laws.

What information do we collect in our software applications?

The data your Educational Organization stores on S4S systems may include the following information about students and staff members.

  • Staff First and Last Name
  • Staff E-mail
  • Student ID Number
  • Student First and Last Name
  • Student Grade Level
  • Student Birthday or a Password (Voting Only – Encrypted on our Server)
  • Student E-mail (Voting Only – Optional)
  • Student Photo (Multiple Applications – Optional)
  • Home Language (Discipline Only – Optional)
  • Parent Name (Discipline Only – Optional)
  • Parent Phone (Discipline Only – Optional)
  • Parent E-mail (Discipline Only – Optional)

The staff email address you provide will only be used as a login into our applications or for password reset. We will occasionally send software updates or newsletters to the main contact on the account, but we will We will not send emails directly to students unless we are replying to an E-mail sent directly to us from a student.

Disclosure to Third Parties

The disclosure of information stored on behalf of Educational Organizations is governed by the contract between S4S and each individual Educational Organization. Except for the ways outlined in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose the information described in this section to any third party unless we believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with a court order or other legal process served on us or assist government enforcement agencies; (b) investigate or prevent suspected illegal activities or protect the security and integrity of S4S; (c) enforce this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, or other binding agreements such as the contract between S4S and your Educational Organization; (d) take precautions against liability, investigate or defend against any third-party claims or allegations; or (e) exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of S4S, its employees, customers, or others.

S4S only shares information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy. We never sell student records or other user information to third parties. S4S stores such information in locations outside its facilities, such as on servers co-located with third-party hosting providers or with secure cloud-storage services.

As we grow, we may buy or sell assets or business divisions. Generally, the information stored on our systems would be transferred in such a transaction. We may also transfer or assign such information in the course of business combinations, including but not limited to mergers, divestitures, or dissolution. In the event of such a transaction, any successor entity that acquires your information will continue to be subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

Review or Deletion of Records Maintained by S4S

Parents, legal guardians, or students who have reached 18 years of age may review the student’s education records and correct erroneous information. To review or update your information to ensure its accuracy or to correct any errors and omissions, please contact your Educational Organization directly.

Requests sent to S4S seeking a copy of such records, or demanding that S4S modify or delete any records that it maintains will be forwarded directly to the appropriate Educational Organization. Please note that even when records are modified or deleted from S4S active databases, copies may remain in data backups as necessary to comply with business or regulatory requirements.
